Many people have used traditional saunas for relaxation but Infrared sauna is better and more tolerable. Rather than cooking yourself to death as is possible in the 200 degree convection environment of steam or hot rock saunas, Our infrared saunas literally manufacture body heat and charge your body with its own energy allowing your body all the energy it needs to detox at the cellular level and expelling those toxins through sweating.
What is the difference between a hot rock or steam sauna and a far infrared sauna. The difference is in the science. In a dry, steam or hot rock sauna you are utilizing a principle called convection heat. Convection means that we heat the air and then the body. This heat penetrates the body 3 millimeters deep and of all the sweat released in your sauna session only 3% of your sweat contains toxins released. At temperatures of 180 degrees to 200 degrees in a convection environment is ideal for a mean dinner roast, maybe not as much for your health. In these dry saunas you are literally cooking yourself and some have died from staying in this style sauna for too long.
I know it sounds counter intuitive that you would sweat more at lower temperatures but it is absolutely true. In an infrared sauna we use a principle called radiant heat. This type of heat, heats your body directly with light energy. I use my sauna at 122 degrees and sweat more than I ever did at 140. The reason is that at 118-122 degrees we are matching the human body’s bandwidth of far infrared light exactly so your body has no resistance to the infrared and takes it on readily. It’s important to note that once your body is fully charged the far infrared light passes on through harmlessly. Your body will never exceed 100 degrees or a low grade fever when using a sauna. In other words, no one has ever died or become sick as a result of far infrared sauna use.
Your body produces far infrared light in the form of body heat at 9.4 microns and so do our saunas. We are essentially manufacturing body heat in our saunas. How does a far infrared sauna feel? Put your hands together, you will immediately feel them become warmer where the skin is touching. This is a cell to cell charge and as each cell is charged in your hands, if we stay here long enough our hands will begin to sweat even though the air temperature around you has not changed.
The heat of an infrared sauna will penetrate the body 4 inches deep and of all the sweat produced 20% is toxins released from the body. You also get numerous Health Benefits encouraging heart health, weight loss, detoxification, pain relief, and a multitude of documented benefits.
As harmless as holding hands, more and more doctors are prescribing Infrared sauna to alleviate the symptoms or improve quality of life for individuals diagnosed with fibromyalgia, heart disease, lyme disease, cancer, heavy metal toxicity, and physical therapy. Infrared sauna is also used by professional athletes to speed healing time and reduce pain & inflammation, a critical tool in achieving health goals.
Celebration Saunas intended use which, as part of a healthy lifestyle, may help living well with certain chronic diseases or conditions. Through sweating we are encouraging the body to detox itself of environmental & metabolic toxins, killing off heat-sensitive parasites like Lyme, or killing cancer cells with a heat shock protein of 70 or less, encouraging a passive cardiovascular workout reducing bad cholesterol and burning up to 700 calories in 30 minutes of sweating. The list of benefits goes on and on when we charge the body with its own energy, Body Heat. If you’d like to get into more detail, you can download our free book on infrared saunas here.
